Ian Munsick Shares Touching On-Stage ‘Father–Son’ Moment in Montana with Ned LeDoux
Country singer Ian Munsick has highlighted a special family memory from his Montana tour stop, posting that Ned LeDoux performed one of Chris LeDoux’s songs while Munsick’s own father—Wyoming fiddler Dave Munsick—joined in on fiddle. The clip and caption, which Ian described as “a special father/son moment… the west lives on,” arrived after his Oct. 9, 2025 show at First Interstate Arena in Billings, where Ned LeDoux appeared on the bill.
Dave Munsick, a former New Mexico state fiddle champion and patriarch of The Munsick Boys, has long been a musical pillar in Ian’s career, often stepping on stage when he’s in the crowd. The family’s western-roots legacy helped shape Ian’s sound and stagecraft from childhood.
The Billings date also opened the 2025 NILE Stock Show concert festivities, underscoring the night’s cowboy heritage theme—an ideal backdrop for a Chris LeDoux tribute led by his son. Fans praised the cross-generational moment as a reminder that western country traditions are being passed on in real time.
