Peggy, the daughter of a Wyoming rancher, had never ventured beyond her home state when she married Chris, a budding rodeo cowboy with dreams of making it big. Chris once recalled, “We were broke but it didn’t matter. We were living on love. My wife was, and still is, a great gal. She was able to take the hard times.”
