In the early 1990s, country music star Dwight Yoakam and actress Sharon Stone were briefly linked romantically. Their relationship garnered media attention when they appeared together at the 64th Annual Academy Awards in 1992. However, the romance was short-lived, lasting only a few months.

In a 1993 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Yoakam acknowledged the relationship, stating, “Yeah, we dated. I was coming out of a five-year relationship and pretty clumsy about myself emotionally.” He chose not to elaborate further, maintaining a respectful silence on the matter.
