Phil and Kay Robertson met in high school in Louisiana. Phil was the quarterback of the football team, and Kay was a cheerleader and debutante. They quickly became a popular couple in school.

After marrying in 1966, their life was not easy. Phil began drinking, getting into fights, and gradually distancing himself from the family. Kay had to work multiple jobs to support the family and care for their children.

After many years of drinking and sin, Phil decided to change. One evening, he went to church and prayed for God’s help. Kay and their children stood behind, witnessing this moment.

After Phil’s transformation, they rebuilt their family together. They had four children and co-managed the Duck Commander company.
