The iconic Scottish pop band, the Bay City Rollers, are set to headline the Blyth Live Music Festival 2025, bringing their timeless hits to fans old and new. The festival will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Mermaid Car Park in Blyth, Northumberland.
Led by original guitarist Stuart “Woody” Wood, the current lineup includes Ian Thomson (lead vocals and guitar), John McLaughlin (vocals and keys), Mikey Smith (bass guitar), and Jamie McGrory (drums). This ensemble aims to capture the essence of the original band, delivering energetic performances of classics like “Shang-A-Lang,” “Bye Bye Baby,” and “Saturday Night.
The Blyth Live Music Festival is a free, family-friendly event that starts at 11:00 AM, featuring a variety of live music acts, community and craft stalls, food concessions, street theatre performances, and a fun fair. The Bay City Rollers are scheduled to perform at 8:00 PM, closing the day’s festivities.
