Legendary singer Neil Diamond is set to be honored with the Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award at the 39th Annual Carousel Ball on October 11, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. This prestigious award, presented by the Children’s Diabetes Foundation (CDF), recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to raising awareness and supporting research for diabetes.

With a career spanning over 60 years, Neil Diamond has sold more than 130 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling musicians of all time. He has received numerous accolades, including Grammy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. However, this particular honor is not solely based on his musical achievements.

For over 35 years, Neil Diamond has been actively involved with the CDF, participating in fundraising events and performances to support the foundation’s mission. He has performed at the Carousel Ball in Denver in 2001 and at the Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills in 2012, where he famously sang an impromptu duet of “Sweet Caroline” with George Clooney.

Event chair Dana Davis and honorary chair Barbara Davis stated, “Neil Diamond is a once-in-a-generation talent. As a bestselling recording artist worldwide, he is an undeniable force whose songwriting has earned him countless musical accolades. For over 35 years, Neil has lent his timeless voice to our efforts to find a cure for diabetes. On behalf of the patients and researchers his generosity has touched, we can’t think of anyone more deserving of our Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award.”

The Carousel Ball is a biennial event that brings together prominent figures from the entertainment and business industries to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes and fund research and patient care initiatives. This year’s event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Denver, home to the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, which serves as the primary operations and research facility for the CDF.

Through his unwavering support and dedication, Neil Diamond exemplifies the fusion of artistic talent and social responsibility. Receiving the Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award from the CDF highlights his commitment to both his craft and the well-being of others, shedding light on the interconnectedness of health and career.
